Important Note: For vehicles utilizing DoIP (introduced with model series 206 and 223), specific Pass Thru adapters tested by Mercedes-Benz AG are required. Recommended adapters for non-DoIP models include Actia Passthru+ XS 2G, Bosch KTS 560, and ADIS Technology EURO VCI. Your chosen device must adhere to the SAE J2534 Pass Thru standard.

Obtaining Your XENTRY License

To acquire your XENTRY license, you’ll need to provide documentation confirming your affiliation with a motor vehicle workshop or repair business. This may include a trade license, business registration, or professional qualification verification. A valid XENTRY license is typically valid for one year and renewable annually.

As of March 15, 2022, all diagnostic activities require a standard diagnostic role, applied for via the UMAS platform (https://umas.mercedes-benz.com/umas). This involves a one-time identification process. Flashing control units in newer models necessitates the extended XENTRY Flash role.

Multi-Factor Authentication

For enhanced security, multi-factor authentication (MFA) will be mandatory for all XENTRY applications starting April 1, 2025.
